Out of School Activities

At Duncraig Primary School, students are encouraged to participate in a range of activities beyond the classroom that support their interests, build confidence and strengthen friendships and school connectedness.

These opportunities allow students to pursue passions in sport, music, problem?solving and teamwork while also developing important social and personal skills.


Our Run Club provides students with opportunities to improve their fitness, endurance and overall wellbeing in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Students participate in organised running sessions before school, developing:

  • Personal fitness goals
  • Resilience and perseverance
  • Positive habits for healthy lifestyles
  • Team spirit and encouragement of others

Run Club also supports students preparing for school and interschool cross-country events.


Keyed Up Music

Students at Duncraig Primary School may also participate in external instrumental music lessons through Keyed Up Music.

Keyed Up Music offers lessons in a range of instruments, including:

  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Violin
  • Voice
  • Drums

Programs are designed to support students to learn music in a fun and engaging way while developing music reading, performance and instrumental skills.

Lessons are available for primary?aged students and provide additional opportunities for students interested in extending their musical learning.


Duncraig Netball

Students also have opportunities to become involved with local community sport through clubs such as Doves Duncraig Netball Club.

The club provides opportunities for students of varying skill levels to participate in netball, ranging from beginner programs through to competitive development pathways.

Participation in community sport helps students to develop:

Duncraig Primary School offers a popular Numero Club for students in Years 3–6.

Numero Club is held before school on Thursday mornings and provides students with opportunities to strengthen:

  • Number fluency
  • Mathematical thinking
  • Strategic problem?solving skills

Students participate in engaging games and challenges while building confidence and teamwork skills in a fun environment.
