At Duncraig Primary School, student wellbeing is a priority and an essential part of supporting students to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
Our Student Wellbeing Officer, Jami, is provided through Anglicare WA and brings a wealth of experience working with children and families across a wide range of circumstances.
Jami supports students across all year levels for a variety of reasons, including:
- Friendship and social concerns
- Managing worry or anxiety
- Adjusting to change
- Supporting students through grief and loss, including the loss of family members or pets
- Navigating more significant life challenges and emotional experiences
Jami also works with students navigating more complex life challenges and emotional experiences. While not a psychologist, Jami is trained to support young people and works closely with students, staff and families to foster emotional wellbeing, build resilience, and encourage positive relationships across the school community.
A message from Jami:
