History of Duncraig Primary School
Established in Perth’s northern suburbs in 1973, Duncraig Primary School has grown alongside the local community for more than 50 years. Operating as an Independent Public School for students from Kindergarten to Year 6, the school has proudly educated generations of Duncraig families.
As the suburb expanded throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the school continued to grow and develop, supported by a strong and active school community. In 2011, Duncraig Primary School became an Independent Public School, strengthening local decision?making and strategic planning to meet the changing needs of students and families.
Today, the school maintains a welcoming community atmosphere with approximately 400–450 students, supported by spacious grounds, specialist facilities and natural bush settings that provide engaging spaces for learning and play. Our facilities have continued to evolve over time, ensuring students benefit from modern learning environments while maintaining the strong sense of history and connection that defines Duncraig Primary School.
