Board Members

Jenny Cole

I am a country girl born and bred and spent my childhood on a wheat and sheep farm. I am a mother of four children, including twins who range in age from 20 – 13. I began my teaching career in 1990 and have taught in the country , overseas and in the Perth metropolitan area.  With the little spare time I have, I enjoy cross stitching, cooking and spending time with my family.

Mandy Marett

Mandy Marett has been a member of the Duncraig Primary school board since 2016 and is also an active member of the school’s P&C. She has two children attending the school currently in year 3 and year 5. Mandy has a background in school psychology and a particular interest in the promotion of mental health and well-being and is part of the Social Emotional Learning Subcommittee of the board. She believes that strong community-school partnerships are an important contributing factor for optimal student development. 

Dr Nicole Becker

Nicole Becker has been a parent and active member of the Duncraig Primary School community for over seven years with her oldest child in year 6 and her youngest in year 1. Nicole has a strong background in science and has worked as a research fellow as well as taught at a university level. She is passionate about making sure the needs of all students, regardless of their abilities and backgrounds are an absolute priority. In her spare time Nicole likes baking for people she really likes. 

Luke Halden

Luke has been a member of the board since 2014 and the board chair for the past two years. As a teacher and mentor in ICT integration and Digital technologies, Luke has an understanding of how this area is developing and evolving in education. Luke is an active member and Coach of the Sorrento Little athletics club as well as a member of our school P&C.  He believes that it is every parents responsibility to help raise all children and believes he can do this through the school board  He currently has 2 children attending the school in years 3 and 5. 

Sophie Dwyer

 Sophie Dwyer is an experienced Director, having owned a finance consultancy since 2005 and currently serving on the board of Food, Fibre & Land International Group and the Small Business Development Corporation. A highly active community member, Sophie is the local councillor for Duncraig, Warwick and Marmion with the City of Joondalup, was a founding member of the Duncraig Edible Garden and is an advisory board member of Kidzucate, an anti-bullying charity.   Sophie holds graduate membership of the prestigious Australian Institute of Company Directors and was awarded a scholarship to participate in the Director Pipeline Program 2017.   Sophie has a long history with our school community as she was a student of Duncraig Primary School in the 1980s.   Sophie lives in Duncraig and her children attend Poynter Primary School.

Lisa Tucker

Lisa Tucker has been Principal of Duncraig Primary School since 2015. Previous to this appointment, Lisa was Principal of Dalkeith Primary School and has also been acting Principal of Collier, Bicton, Bibra Lake and Beeliar Primary Schools.  Lisa has had a lengthy career in public education, including roles as a level 3 classroom teacher, curriculum consultant and Deputy Principal.  As a committed educator, Lisa is committed to furthering her knowledge through experience, reading and professional learning. She has also recently completed a Master degree in Public School Leadership.

Taylor Webb

Taylor Webb is entering his fourth year as Deputy Principal at Duncraig Primary School. He has spent time teaching and leading in the Kimberley and also other Perth schools. Taylor enjoys working with all the students and families at Duncraig and knows the students here very well. His passion is leading the integration of mobile device technology in the classroom and working with staff to ensure all students are engaged with the learning process. When he is not at work, Taylor is a mad Eagles fan and enjoys going to the football with his family. He also enjoys camping, fishing and home improvements.
