Welcome Back for Term 4!
Assembly Super Stars
Room 14 wowed us with their assembly this week. The students performed the story, “Tiddalik the Frog”, danced to “Little Green Frog” and then presented “Home Amongst the Gum Trees” in Auslan. Their confident speaking and reading was amazing!

Kitchen Garden Chickens
By now, most of our school community would have heard the sad news that our beloved girls met their fate with a fox on the weekend. Our chickens brought a lot of joy to our students – they helped children self-regulate when they were feeling emotional, they offered a space for children at recess and lunchtimes if they needed a break from the more boisterous activities, and they allowed the children to learn about the care of animals. There is a little hole in all our hearts this week.
Ms Jackson is keen to start the chicken program again in 2024. Fox-proofing all our garden fences is the number one priority.
2024 Class Placements
During Term 4, teachers start looking at class placements for students for the following year. This will occur early in November and should be finalised well before the end of the school year. Class lists will be published on our website during the last week of school. Where there are students with special needs, parents may find out sooner so that we may begin the transition process earlier.
For your information, the school structure for 2024 will be:
Kindy A
Kindy B Kindy C Pre-primary Pre-primary Pre-primary/Year 1 Year 1 Year 1/2 Year 2 Year 2 |
Year 3

Staffing for these classes has not been finalised yet.
Rooms 3 & 4 Hats – Works of Art
The students in Rooms 3 and 4 have been involved in a design project, designing hats that reflect the style of well-known artists. Milliners in the making!
Digital Technologies in Year 1
The Year 1 students have been working on their building and coding skills using the Botzees.
Check out our young coders!
Year 6 Radio Show
21 of our Year 6 students represented our school and presented a radio show on 897 FM – John Logan’s School of Thought. They did a great job, speaking confidently and sounding very knowledgeable. The students worked in groups to choose a topic, research it, and then write their script for the program. You can find a recording of the radio show here: School Of Thought Radio Show | John Logan
PBS Focus – We challenge ourselves to try new and difficult things
During weeks 1-3, our behaviour expectation that we are focussing on is, “We challenge ourselves to try new and difficult things.”
Students are doing a great job on this as they work hard to learn dance moves with the EduDance and Dance Sport Programs running this term.
