Two new members were welcomed to the board at the end of last year. I would like to introduce Chris Paton and Emma Vincent. We are very fortunate to have both Chris and Emma join the school board.
Chris Paton has resided in Western Australia for 12 years and works as a senior manager within the road surfacing industry. Chris is passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle and particularly water sports. He spends his weekends with his children at the beach, surfing, kitesurfing or socialising with friends. Although Chris has lived in Duncraig for 8 years, he is new to the Duncraig Primary School community with his eldest son entering Pre primary in 2020. Chris comes from a family of educators and values a positive learning environment for children.
Emma is currently the Supply Chain Planning Manager responsible for supply forecasting and planning activities for BHP’s West Australian Iron Ore operations. She has also been actively involved in cultural improvement initiatives including vice-chairing the Mental Wellness Working Group for BHP Asia, and co-founding the Women in Perth group for BHP Australia. From 2011-2015 Emma was a full-time mother to her daughters Georgie and Keira, both of whom now attend Duncraig Primary School. During this time, Emma authored and published a pro-vaccination children’s book titled “The Measly Virus” and completed 80% of a Diploma of Education program before deciding to return full time to BHP. We are very lucky to have both Chris and Emma join the school board.
